I'm looking for 5 followers who would consider doing one layout per month to inspire our theme of Architecture .
Your task for this is to create a layout based on this picture....
And your extra requirement is some water in your photo.
It could be droplets of rain, through to a flood....whatever you decide.
Look at this photo and let your imagination run wild.
It doesn't need to be a building,it could be anything.
I'm looking for individuals who love to create something fresh and inspiring.
PLEASE MAKE YOUR LAYOUT APPROX 650x650 in size.
You will be required to
*Promote Archiscraps on your blog, social media sites (facebook, myspace, twitter, pinterest, etc.), online galleries
* Take quality photos of your layouts.
* Comment on all submissions
* vote on which layout you think is best and participate in any blog hops or related activities.
Applications close at the end of January 31st at midnight (EDST) and there will be a 6 month stint from February to August 2013.
We may have guest designers each month as well,so if you miss out on the DT you might still be featured.

Challenge #7 and extra time.
People seem to be having trouble with my challenge going mid month to mid month ,so with this next one you have until the END OF JANUARY.
That's correct.Entries close on 31st January at midnight.
Here is your inspiration.
It is the front entrance to Taronga park Zoo in Sydney.

It is the front entrance to Taronga park Zoo in Sydney.
It recently celebrated its 95th Birthday with a complete refurbishment.It is iconic to Sydney and is heritage listed.
Your challenge is to do a layout containing at least part of a circle,or a whole circle and because it is the zoo,an animal somewhere.It can be any animal from a bird right up to an elephant.Perhaps you actually have a zoo layout or you've visited an animal park.
And here's the prize,a packet of Thickers,Pebbles border strips,designer clips,adhesive Christmas stocking banner and a whole roll of leopard print ribbon,that's 5 metres.
Get out those pictures and get scrapping.
You don't have to wait until the end of January to upload.

Fence or gate challenge #6 at Archiscraps
With Christmas and the silly season approaching I'm going to make this extra easy.
Include either a gate or a fence or both on your layout somewhere.
Perhaps you have a garden layout or one involving a person with a gate as an embellishment.Let that inspire you.We'd love to see them! Date due is 15th December.
My prize this month is a SCRAPMATTS Christmas Tree(3D)
If you go to the Scrapmatts website you can see these decorated ready for your Christmas table.It measures around 10 inches high.
As well as that I've added 3 strands of embroidery cotton in popular green and pink,a branch of flowers and a Kaisercraft SAnta stamp featuring Santa and his Christmas list.
Total value of prize is around $25.All donated by me.

This month I have chosen something really modern.The Maritime Museum in SydneyWhen it was built it was quite iconic and "out of the box" as far as architecture went.
Here it is.Let's see what you can come up with for this one.I'd like some curves and maybe some white.

Archiscraps # 4 challenge
I thought you'd all like a change of pace so here is a fun one for you to scrap this month...The MAD MAX MUSEUM at Silverton,near Broken Hill.
While it isn't exactly architecture,it is a building!
You could do grungy layouts or one using corrugated card or one involving cars!Wherever your imagination takes you.....
REMEMBER it doesn't have to have a building in it ,just something that harks back to this photo.
The prize is shown below.It is a variety of chipboard,two different sorts of stickers and some colourful eyelets.

Archiscraps 2nd challenge
Our second challenge features a view of some windows.They could be anywhere.They have colourful blinds on them.Perhaps you can use the shapes of the windows,the fact that they appear "distressed" or just the colours in the picture.Remember,the interpretation is up to you.
I haven't mentioned the country these remind me of so that your layout is more open for interpretation.

Only a few days left to Archiscrap!
Archiscraps first challenge ends on 15th July at midnight.
So far we have one entry BUT I'd like to see more.
As LLeyton Hewitt says "C'mon"
All you are required to do is produce a layout featuring the colours or shapes or anything else the Duomo inspires you to do.I'm sure you all have a brown/rust/cream layout somewhere.IT DOESN"T HAVE TO FEATURE ARCHITECTURE, it could have a sepia photo of Grandma etc.

After being a scrapbooker for over 10 years and following several challenge blogs,I have decided to launch one of my own.This is
ARCHI-SCRAPS a challenge/inspiration site based on architecture and the exteriors of buildings!!!!
So without further ado,here is your first challenge.....
THe DUOMO in Florence is one of the world's most outstanding buildings.
You can go with the colours on it or the arched/circle shapes or perhaps the photo will inspire you to do something else.
Your layout doesn't have to feature architecture. This is just inspiration to get you started.
The date for completion of this challenge will be 15th July.This gives you just over a month for this first one.
