"We went to Melbourne to stand in front of this Victorian-style building with its amazing cast iron railings and verandas, so delicately chiseled, like lace. These terraced houses are quite numerous in Melbourne but also in Sydney. It was built in 1890 and well preserved "

What is the challenge you are asking?

Use laces and go shabby chic- Shabby chic means vintage laces,flowers, pearls, an olde world feel.

Our April challenge is PLEATING

You could pleat paper, washi tape or ribbon perhaps. It must be obvious on the layout or card

So use your imagination and pleat pleat pleat.

March Challenge-Colourful mixed media.

 Our March challenge features lots of colour to brighten your day.

It looks like India, but it is in Brighton UK at the Royal Pavillion.

The challenge this month is MIXED MEDIA WITH LOTS OF COLOUR

Use your watery dribbly mists,paints,inks,nuovo drops etc and other things to add bright colours. You can also use masks, stamps, ribbons, fibres, laces, anything to make it brighter! Why not create a rainbow of colours. You could create a canvas!

Now on to our new challenge which is.........

Feature mushrooms, toadstools or other fungi on your page.

You will be given free reign on this, the fungi can be in the photo or on the papers or as an embellishment or stamp.

Searching through my own layouts and cards I've come up with these

My daughter's toadstool cupcakes note the Memory Maze painted white mushrooms bottom right.

(Background was done using gesso through a mask over red paper.)

Toadstool salt and pepper shakers on the windowsill, plus bottlecap embellishments featuring mushrooms.

This one used Flourish with a bling toadstools (no longer available)

And a card featuring a mushroom border plus a bigger featured mushroom.
