Now here is what the ladies have prepared for your viewing pleasure

                                                                   DALE

I was inspired by the inspiration picture to use this photo of my phones. I could have chosen many of my photos but this one was mostly black and white like the picture, plus phones nowadays have a lot of ring tones and are very musical. I couldn't go past the ABBA song "Ring Ring" for my title.

                                                                         TRISH

(card)

(layout)
It is an old song called “Baby its cold outside”

It's of my late husband and his girls...when they were alive.

                                                                 JAN

Song Title:  Today
Includes music sheets throughout the file.

                                                              LESLIE

I loved the idea of the music school building shaped like musical instruments, so I covered my pie-shaped wood veneer with Happy Birthday sheet paper music. More on my blog: http://lcsmithsaved-outofthemire.blogspot.com/2014/10/103114-archi-scraps-november-challenge.html

                                                                   JULENE

This is an old layout of mine based on the song "It's all about the money" by Meja.
Check out the bling on that cash register.

So, why not join in the fun. Remember the CRITERIA!

Overseas entry winners will be invited to be our guest designer,so there is incentive for everyone.

September Challenge

Our winner for August was Wendy O'Keefe.
Your prize from Its and Bits craft supplies will arrive shortly.
******************

Our September challenge is based on this

A famous building by Gaudi in Spain.

The extra criteria is to use TEXTURE PASTE OR GESSO.

The ladies on the DT suggested funky, Halloween, underwater, a giant tree........perhaps you could use one of those ideas or another of your own.
Don't forget to link up your entry on the side.

Now here's what the DT have done
                                                           DALE

The inspiration pic screamed Halloween to me (pun intended). I had some photos that matched the colour scheme. I have taken some white gesso and added 5 different coloured paints to it. I got a stencil and then painted the different colours over the stencil down the right side of the right page and the left side of the left page. It was a 6x6 stencil so I had to do it twice on each page. I've used a lot more techniques as well. For more info and pics see my blog www.daleys-dailies.blogspot.com.

                                                                 JAN

I  have taken my inspiration from the oval shape of the windows and balcony's by using a Memory Maze Pebble Stencil with texture paste.

                                                                       TRISH

The Picture of the house reminded me of a haunted house, so i used the spider web die i had forgotten about, added some stickles for a cobweb feeling.

Also some liquid pearls for the drippy look, made it into a Halloween card.

Here is your prize for this month: A stamp set donated by DT member Jan

These will be for Australian entries only.
Overseas entrant winners will be invited to be our guest DT in November.

NOW what can you create?

We would love to see your interpretation of this fabulously textural building!

Since I started this in mid 2012,this is the first time we have had the same winner twice.

Now on to our AUGUST CHALLENGE.

Our kind sponsor this month is Merrilyn Jackson from
http://www.itsandbitscraftssupplies.com.au/store/index.php

And now here's your picture
The towers of the Grand masters in Rhodes Greece.
I have a friend who lives on Rhodes, so have been to this castle twice now.

The extra CRITERIA is CASTELLATION
It can be anywhere on your layout, but include in your description where it is.
Even if it is on your photo we would like it somewhere else as well to see your crafting skills.

Our guest designer this month is Mary Steinmetz and she has done 2 layouts for us

And here's the work from our DT.

JAN
I have used the gorgeous Heidi Swapp papers and banners as they matched this challenge perfectly

DALE

My inspiration came from the colours in the picture. I also chose the photos due to the interesting ceiling pattern and the fact that the building that houses the Museum looks a bit like a castle. My  castellation element is a Creative Memories rick rack at top left which I have had forever. I inked it using sepia ink and added my title stickers to it.
TRISH
My family went to China in 2012.

Lots of brickwork and turret type things on this page.

The old place my daughter was married in in Scotland ( Auchterarder House )had turrets aplenty.
You can see the building behind the couple my daughter and son in  law.

MOST IMPORTANT
Don't forget to apply for our D.T. this month.
See the above post for details and you must be a follower of our blog.
This month's challenge is part of the application.
Good Luck!

JULY Challenge

It seems as soon as I go away the universe works against me.
My sincere apologies to anyone who was trying to upload their entry for JUNE and couldn't get it to work.
Also many thanks to the D.T ,especially Dale and Jane for keeping us afloat.

Our winner is LIZ HOCKING and her Memory Maze chipboard is on its way there.
                                               ***********************************

Meanwhile here is the stimulus picture for JULY.

And the criteria is LAYERING.

You can interpret that any way you like so long as the layering is visible to us.

Perhaps you might do a layout featuring clusters of items arranged in layers.

Now here are the DT's contributions
                                                       TRISH

the colours on the paper remind me of the original photo.

I layered a Marianne die for my matting and there is a blue striped umbrella in the background of the photo.

My grandkids are in Spain right now.
                                                                                  JAN

Inspiration I have drawn from the colours orange, teal and white, plus the scallops.
Additional criteria layers.  The card has 5 layers.

                                                                   DALE

I took my inspiration from the predominant colours of blue, white, green and orange. I liked the semicircle pattern on the large spire. By background paper picks this up nicely. The added criteria is layering. Firstly my photos have a Hotel that has a lot of interesting layers. Next I have layered papers and stickers.

I used an Imaginisce trees stamp which I have then coloured and fussy cut to create a little forest to match the theme of the page.
                                                          ******************

Our prize this month(for Australian entries) is donated by me.
There is a mini accordion file, useful for storing smaller items, an Urban Lilly sugar cube, a travel border title and some jelly stickers.

If you are from another country you will be asked to be our guest designer in September.

We would love to see your take on this challenge.
Please enter your work via the INLINKZ on the right hand side.

June entries here please

Hi everyone,

Julene is travelling at the moment. It seems that Inlinkz is not working correctly and I don't know how to fix it.

Can I suggest entries for June go in the comments section of this post? Just post a link to the actual blog post that has your Archiscraps entry in it.

Thanks everyone. Happy scrapping.

Dale
