Now for the DT layouts to inspire you.

DEBI

Here is my page titled 'Tobemory' from the fabulous inspiration of the homes along the water.  This was a photo from my sister, & I love it!  I have misted & played & had a wonderful time scrapping today.
LIBBY

I was inspired by all the bright colors from the photo as well as the white trim and the water.  The background pp were misted using different stencils and mists.  Sketch is Page Maps (June 2010).

                                                                        DALE

I took my inspiration from the houses. I have painted the Dusty Attic chipboard row of houses. I've used two colours of Mr Huey's mists with a 6x6 Prima template on the white cardstock background. My photo and matts add the extra blue/grey colours and there are also little pointy roofed buildings in the photo.

    TRISH

The tiny houses on the background paper remind me of the original photo for the challenge and my misting is where  i put some American crafts aphas on a craft tag and misted over the top in black and created the tag to say   “home” word for my new home card.

                                                                          JANE

“This row of houses reminded me so much of the rows of terraces along the canals of Amsterdam.  Five, six or more storey buildings with attic rooms and terraced rooftops painted in vibrant ochre colours.  Equally bright and colourful barges tied up along the canal edges add to the bohemian atmosphere of this vibrant community”.

                                                                       SUSAN

I used texture paste on the background then misted it with sprays. I also misted the butterflies and title. The reflection of the trees is sunset on a dam at Emerald.

And our new girl.............JAN

I took my inspiration from the colours

You have until the end of the month to submit your projects for this challenge.
We'd love to have you come and join in with us.

Welcome to another fun filled month at Archiscraps.
On the other side of the world, spring has sprung.
Here in Australia we are going into autumn and the days are starting to get cooler. It is a nice time of year.
I've chosen something fresh and green for this month's stimulus picture

and can you guess what the extra criteria is????
TRIANGLES

Use triangles on your layout however you like.
When you link up please describe where the triangles are.

Our prize this month is from SCRAPPERS GARDEN

Aren't they lovely? Linda is one talented lady :)

Now on to the DT's wonderful layouts

DEBI

I was very inspired by this amazing garden room shape, so used lots of triangular shapes as well as being inspired by the green of the woods in the photo.  So I have used lots of cool green, some fab Norfolk Island photos which I thoroughly enjoyed scrapping with.

DALE

I took my inspiration from all the greens and the outdoor setting, many trees. I've added a triangle in each corner, they seem to point at the photos. My banners have triangle shapes also.

                                                               TRISH

The arch in the top of the gate has triangles and they remind me of the rays on the unusual glass house.
                                                                                    JANE

Such an unusual piece of architecture!   I was drawn to the surrounding green of the woods in the photograph and I have tried to capture this feeling of nature with the soft green I have used in the patterned paper and my use of wood embellishments.  I have also used suspended triangles like those of the actual house.

                                                                      LIBBY

Triangles were used for the banner and to the right of the photo are larger triangles with smaller ones added on them with pop dots for dimension.  I was inspired by the colors and incorporated lots of green with white touches which represent the light bursting through the trees in the inspiration photo.
                                                                        SUSAN

This photo is of my hubby and myself when we were in Brisbane visiting family and friends at Christmas time. I used the triangles as arrows to direct attention to the photo. I also stamped random triangles around the edge of the layout.( I don't know if they showed up very well in the photo).

NICOLE has resigned from our DT for personal reasons.
We wish you all the best for your future, and thank you for your wonderful inspiration during your time here.

                                                               JULENE

Now here's the DT's wonderful creations ...

                                                                   SUSAN

I chose to "see" what is around my home. Palm trees are everywhere here and I combined the border and stripes together.

                                                                          JANE

I’m not sure where the inspiration picture this month is located but if I were a betting woman I’d say it’s in Little India in Singapore.  It reminds me so much of some of the architecture located there and around the Clarke Quay area along the river.  So bright and colourful and full of character which I have tried to replicate in my layout.  Ah, to be a tourist again!

                                                                        DEBI

I just loved this inspiration! The colours, the patterns, the windows of that tall building that looked like doors...so that I what my page is about....doors.

I have a print on my hall wall that I love, so decided I should scrap about my love of doors...

I used all the colours of the CSI palette.

Evidence - stripes, decorative border, architectural accents, clouds, zig-zag.

Testimony - I have documented my love of front doors, & used the IW, of colour & see in my journaling.

Brilliant challenge!

I thought of the amazing Raffles Hotel in Singapore. Click here to go to the Hotel website. We had a wander through the areas that were accessible to non-Hotel guests. The architecture is incredible. I particularly loved the fountain which you can see a picture of in my layout. I have a pine tree transparency, like the palm tree in the inspiration picture. I also have met 5 pieces of evidence and 3 items of testimony and of course I have all the colours required.

                                                                       LIBBY

My layout is titled, "Look at Me!"  This is our son at the Parrot Jungle & Gardens in Miami, FL.

For the "scene" I used all the colors from the palette.  The background was misted with different mists (the only colors not from the palette) using stencils.  For the "evidence" I used stripes (on the ribbon), trees (clear sticker behind the photo), wood (parrot embellie) and a decorative border which was punched and a strip of green cardstock weaved through the slots.  The "testimony" is in the journaling using the inspirational words "see" and "colors."  Journaling reads, "You had so much fun feeding the parrots.  It was amazing to SEE them up close and admire their bright COLORS."

The blue cardstock was embossed along the bottom as well as the leaves and small heart on the upper corner of the photo.  The flower was white... so I misted it with different colors and added a button and twine.  The negative pieces from punching the slotted border was scattered on the background around the photo.  Sketch is Page Maps (Mar 2010).

NICOLE

I did something a little different with my border...I used chalks to colour in the squares and then smudged them outwards towards the edge of the page to give the stripe effect. I also used the zigzag pattern from the roof on my pattern papers.

Where is everybody?

Where are you? We know you are out there reading this and hiding.

We would like some entries for Archiscraps using holiday theme and colour blocking.

Maybe you don't know what colour blocking is..................Here are some examples I found on Pinterest.

Think patchwork quilt and you are near the idea. They don't have to be squares or rectangles either!
We would love to see what you can come up with!
Here is the theme picture again.
And remember, there is a fabulous prize from Scrapbooking Delights.

Overseas visitors need to pay for postage if they win. Australia, it will be posted free.

Hope you are getting inspired now!! This month is short, you have just over a week to enter this.
