August challenge

The August challenge is based around this picture.

We want you to use concentric archways.

Yes it sounds a bit tricky, but isn't really once you get the first arch established.
This might help

Your archways should look rounded, but can have fancy corners such as those in the die cut picture.

Our Design Team have come up with some ideas to help you.

July Archiscraps Challenge

These chimneys are on Hampton Court palace in England.

They inspired me to think of a multiple patterned paper challenge for July.

So we are asking you to create a layout ,card, tag etc using multiple patterned papers.

Perhaps a patchwork idea would work.

Here's 2 ideas I found on Pinterest.

Why not stretch yourself to see just how many you can fit?

Link them up here Facebook

Our winner for June were Karen Guy and Debra Beer.

Because it was a tie, I will post a prize to each of you.

June Archscraps Challenge.

Some of you might recall the sunken loungerooms of the 1970s. This picture reminded me of that era.
Hanging from the centre in this picture is a fringe!

Your challenge for June is to use fringing

It can be paper fringing or actual fabric/haberdashery fringes.

Can be long or short, it's up to you.

Here's an idea for a fringed flower

Fringed Flower - not quite punch art; but close! - Flowerbug's Inkspot (typepad.com)

As yet we don't have a sponsor but I will keep you posted! There will be a prize.

Our winner for May was Leanne St who made a beautiful shabby chic door hanger.

Now on the the Design team's ideas.

May Challenge

 Happy May day!

"We went to Melbourne to stand in front of this Victorian-style building with its amazing cast iron railings and verandas, so delicately chiseled, like lace. These terraced houses are quite numerous in Melbourne but also in Sydney. It was built in 1890 and well preserved "

What is the challenge you are asking?

Use laces and go shabby chic- Shabby chic means vintage laces, flowers, pearls, an olde world feel.

We are pleased to be sponsored this month by

Thank you to Sandra for her generosity.

Our winner for last month was Sharon Bishop. Her prize was a selection of goodies from me.
